Temp Mail Not Working? Fix Missing Emails and Codes
Temp mail not working or a verification email missing? First compare the complete address and check the remaining time. Then choose the symptom below and follow its next step. Refresh can check for delivered messages; it cannot make a sender accept the address or send an email.
Create an addressConfirm the complete address first
Symptom: You requested an email, but nothing appears in the inbox you are viewing.
Possible causes: The website may have a typo, an extra space, a different domain, or the address of another inbox. Refreshing the current inbox cannot retrieve a message sent elsewhere.
Next step: Copy the complete address from the active inbox and compare it with the address saved by the sending website. If you have multiple inboxes, select the matching one. Correct the destination before requesting one new message; keep that inbox active while you wait.
Allow the sender time to process the request
Symptom: The website says the message was sent, but the address matches and the inbox is still empty.
Possible causes: A success notice may only mean the website accepted the request. The email may still be queued, undergoing checks, or waiting for the sender to deliver it.
Next step: Follow any waiting period shown by the sender. Watch the inbox timer and use Extend 10 minutes before expiry if you need more time. After that waiting period, request one new message if the website allows it. Avoid repeated clicks that may trigger limits or invalidate earlier codes. See the 10-minute timer guide for the one-hour maximum.
Mail systems may retry after a temporary failure
Symptom: The sender reports a delivery delay or a failed delivery.
Possible causes: A temporary network or mail-system failure may allow the sender to retry. A permanent rejection, such as an invalid or expired recipient, needs a corrected destination. Delivered messages also need processing before they appear.
Next step: If you control the sender, check its delivery status and error before retrying. For a third-party website, ask its support whether delivery was attempted and whether the failure is temporary or permanent. Keep a valid inbox active while waiting; neither Refresh nor a new inbox can recover mail rejected for an expired address. There is no guaranteed delivery time.
The timer expired or the inbox was deleted
Symptom: The page says the inbox expired, or the address stopped working after you deleted it.
Possible causes: Anonymous inboxes start with 10 minutes. Extensions must happen before expiry and cannot exceed the one-hour limit set at creation. Expiry or manual deletion stops access and delivery.
Next step: Create a new inbox for a new short-lived task, update the address on the sending website, and request a new message if permitted. The old inbox and its messages cannot be recovered. For an important account or future password resets, use a permanent email address instead.
The website rejects your temporary email address
Symptom: A sign-up form rejects the address, or the sender says disposable email is not accepted.
Possible causes: Some websites block temporary-email domains in their form checks or sending policy. An address can receive ordinary email and still be unsuitable for that service.
Next step: Use a permanent email address accepted by that website or contact its support for its requirements. InboxFlick cannot override the sender's policy. Repeated Refresh or resend attempts will not remove the restriction; do not rely on a temporary inbox for long-term account recovery.
Live updates stop or Refresh fails
Symptom: The page says live updates were interrupted, or Refresh shows an error.
Possible causes: The browser may have lost its network connection or real-time connection, or a temporary service error may prevent the message list from loading. This does not establish whether the sender delivered anything.
Next step: Check your connection, return to the same browser profile, and select Refresh. If Refresh succeeds, check the list for new messages and keep watching the timer. If it still fails, note the exact visible error for support. Do not clear cookies or site data as a troubleshooting shortcut; doing so can remove your inbox access.
The inbox disappears in another browser or after clearing data
Symptom: Opening the site in another browser, profile, private window, or device does not show your earlier inbox.
Possible causes: Inbox access belongs to the original browser session; knowing the email address does not grant access. Clearing cookies or site data can remove the credentials needed to open the inbox.
Next step: Return to the original browser profile if its session still exists and the inbox has not expired. Do not delete its site data. If the session is gone or the inbox expired, the address alone cannot restore access. Use the inbox access guide to check the limits before requesting another code.
A verification email arrives but its code does not work
Symptom: You can read the email, but the website rejects its code or verification link.
Possible causes: The code may have expired, a later request may have replaced it, or it may belong to a different account or verification attempt. An email verification code is different from an SMS code.
Next step: Use the newest message for the correct account and follow the sender's instructions, including the code expiry. If you requested another code, do not assume an older one is still valid. If it still fails, contact the sending website. Read the verification-code guide; InboxFlick receives the email but does not decide whether its code is valid.
Still missing after these checks?
Symptom: The address and timer are correct, Refresh succeeds, and the expected message is still absent.
Possible causes: The sender may not have attempted delivery, may have rejected the domain, or may need to investigate a delivery failure. An empty inbox alone does not identify which system failed.
Next step: Ask the sending website to confirm the destination and delivery result. For an InboxFlick page error, use the contact and support details with the approximate time and time zone, sending service, receiving domain, and a redacted error. Never send verification codes, passwords, inbox tokens, cookies, or message bodies. Support cannot restore an expired inbox or lost credentials. Switch to a permanent address when the task needs reliable future access.
