A useful throwaway address must receive real internet email; a random string that only looks like an address cannot deliver a verification message. Temporary email services create both an address and a short-lived inbox, usually without a registration, password, phone number, or permanent email. A temporary email browser extension can shorten this flow on desktop; check its source and permissions before installing one.
Create the address and keep the inbox open
Open the InboxFlick generator and select Create an address. Copy the complete address exactly as shown, leave the inbox tab open, and paste the address into the low-risk form that needs it. The browser holds the private reading credential, so switching devices or clearing site data can remove your access. Use it for a task you can abandon
Good uses include testing a new website, downloading a one-time resource, checking an email workflow, or separating a short promotion from your permanent inbox. Do not use a throwaway email for banking, healthcare, paid orders, travel, work, subscriptions, or any account that may require password recovery.
Wait for the message or verification code
A sender must accept the temporary domain and deliver the message before it can appear. Keep the timer visible, confirm the address has no typo, and allow the sender time to retry. InboxFlick can display ordinary email verification codes, but it cannot receive SMS codes or force a website to accept disposable addresses.
Extend only when the task is still active
InboxFlick starts a mailbox with 10 minutes and allows 10-minute extensions up to one hour from creation. Extend before expiry if the sender is slow. An expired or destroyed inbox cannot be recovered, so an extension is only a short delay—not a substitute for a permanent account.
Destroy the inbox when you are finished
Delete the temporary inbox after the task is complete and treat unexpected links as untrusted. The address protects your permanent email from one interaction, but it does not hide your IP address from websites, erase records held by senders, or make an unsafe service trustworthy.
How to make a burner email without a phone number
A burner email is another name for a disposable address. For InboxFlick’s temporary inbox, the same steps apply: create, copy, receive and finish before expiry. You do not need a phone number to create this inbox, but a website where you use the address may separately require phone verification. The inbox cannot replace an SMS number.
